Does it ever happen to you that you run into
people you know from high school,
maybe in a party or in the street -
and they don't say hello ?

GLO by Gloria Vanderbilt black eyelet dress  - Jessica Simpson black flats - Vintage pearl necklace

In my case it happens quite often.

I am not sure it is just because I have changed ( i think i look the same)
or just because I did not make a long lasting impression back then...

Then again, they could just be total asses.

In this case, do you still say hello ?

How rude of them! I would give a nod or raise an eyebrow.

Haha, maybe they just weren't sure if it was you or not! You look great in this simple black dress.

well if they don't say hi on a regular basis, the problem is theirs and not yours! you are both lovely and friendly, and if we had known each other growing up i would gladly say hi to you every time our paths crossed! you're awesome! and you look lovely in this dress!

I've been back in the town where I went to high school (and much of my grade schooling, too) for nearly two years, and I've only encountered one person from my school days (she's a part time waitress at a local Greek restaurant). We'd been good friends in grade school and recognized each other right away, so we said hello and chatted for a while. There aren't a lot of good jobs or exciting opportunities for young people here, so most leave after high school, which is why I think I've run into so few.

Love your trio of bracelets - the butterfly is especially charming.

That's so crazy! Thankfully I'm far from high school people, so that never happens, but if it did I'd certainly say hello :) I bet people don't recognize or didn't see you.

I'm awful at recognizing faces, so I wonder if I've ever walked right by someone from high school. I hope not. Though I'm never too keen to play the small-talk game, so maybe you can consider yourself lucky you don't have to! ;)

I am usually the person not saying hello. Often because I recognize them, but don't remember their name. Or I'd feel embarrassed about making small talk, "oh yeah, still living at home... nope, don't have job right now..." not a conversation I want to have!

I cannot say it has happened to me. I in general live far from most of the people I went to high school with, both in Albania and in US. Anyway, this is another great LBD and another great styling you did here. Those dainty bracelets are so pretty.
